Overview

Bent 3/4 Steel Tube

The Astro Table
The Astro Table drew inspiration from mid-century space-age design, blending playful geometry with refined simplicity. It was build and designed by me in my first furniture course. Its curved surfaces and floating form reflect the optimism and experimentation of the era. The table became inspiration for us as well for the Orbit Collection.

Chair and Ottoman

Table
The table includes acrylic coasters that connect together.

Lamp
The lamp features a large dimmable bulb that is controlled by touching any of the metal on the base.

The Complete Collection

Sketching
Initial team ideas were sketched out to decide on design directions.

Concept Creation and CAD
A variety of models were created in Rhino 3D

Final Design
Design was refined using CAD and Hololens, fabrication plans were created

Fabrication
Cutting, Bending, Welding, Grinding, Painting, and Upholstery
