The APDesign shop at Kansas State University, located in Seaton Hall, is the hub for hands-on making and fabrication within the College of Architecture, Planning & Design. The facility provides students access to a wide range of tools from woodworking and metalworking equipment to CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers
In my role as a shop technician, I've assisted in the prototyping and testing of design projects through fabrication. Working across wood and metal, I utilized CNC equipment and a wide range of tools to support the development of precise, functional prototypes.
Madison Stitch is an artisan leather goods studio based in downtown Kansas City, where every product is designed and made in-house. The studio focuses on handcrafted bags using locally sourced materials, including full-grain leather from Missouri tanneries, emphasizing quality, durability, and thoughtful construction.
Conceptualized and designed leather goods for the company catalog, including clutches, purses, and crossbody bags, and fully developed the methods for cutting and fabrication. Also assisted in both design and production processes of other projects as needed. I worked to design and fabricate a custom chair for the studio. My bag designs were showcased at Kansas City Fashion Week and are currently available for sale.
